It comes with Cake Walk and is as easy as simply plugging in the microphone and recording yourself. This is the microphone I started with.

I used the samson co1u microphone to build my music style up while I stacked money in order to buy better gear. This is an amazing microphone for starting out with.

It's even easier to use too because it doesn't require a pre amp or understanding how to plug in a bunch of stuff. You simply plug in the Samson co1u and you start recording into Cake Walk.
