Alhambra Palace
  Granada 


 Moorish influence seen in the architecture of Granada and the court of Lions in the Alhambra. The mighty yet graceful citadel was planned by the 13th century Moorish ruler Al Ahamar. The Alhambra was also a fortress; one can see on either side of the powerful Comares tower the citadel of the city on the right, and the church of Santa Maria on the left, in place of its great mosque.
