SPIRAL WOODWORK

From Paul Tucker, Amelia S.Givin Public Library in Mt.Holly Springs, Pennsylvania USA..Spiral woodwork of the late 19th century in America. It was quite popular from 1885 to 1905 and then all but disappeared. The woodwork by Moses Ransom who also made some furniture. There was also some Moorish Fretwork in the furniture of the Merklen Brothers from NYC. If you want to know more about this woodwork or you have seen this kind of woodwork in another building please contact Paul Tucker at pktucker@adelphia.net.
