Cheongnamdae-President's Villa/청남대
26-1 Shindae-ri, Mooneui-myeon Cheongweon, Chungbuk

President Chun Doohwan who atteded ceremony for the completion of Daecheong Dam in 1980, construction of the villa started in June of 1983 and was completed in December of the same year. Presidents have typically used this place 4 or 5 times summer vacation and holidays. They have spent about 400 days over the last 20 years here(88 times). Open in 1983, the initial name was 'Yeongchundae', July 1986 change of name to 'Cheongnamdae', which means the Cheongwadae of the warm south. April 2003, holding of a ceremony to
open to the public.
