   Dear Mr. Murphy,

I am a student on the Certificate in Community Work programme at AUT. My tutor, Jane Bone has already sent you a letter dated, 6th April 2000 asking you to help me to complete my Practicum. Please find enclosed a copy of that letter. As you will read in this letter, I want to learn more about the IHC Vocational Services.

 I  had an appointment with Mr. Daniel J. McQuillan/Regional Manager, Residential North/West IHC for Northshore Office in 29 March of this year. He introduced me to your organization and suggested that you were contacted. I would very much appreciate your help with complete of my practicum. It is very important to me to complete this course, as my interests in this field are many. I am variable as you can see from the enclosed letter, which was sent to you on the 6th of April 2000 that I needed to do this work under 25,26 and 29 to the 31st of May. I look forward to a prompt reply as time is drawing near to this these days. My details are listed in the enclosed copy of the letter from AUT.

   We talk about IHC Vocational System for people with an intellectual disability. Their have about 90 facility in North Area, like a 3M Workstation.

CONCLUSION

 I had eight days Practicum for the people with an intellectual disability, as IHC and AUT Certificate Rongo I Te Ora. Specially in IHC, I was interested about vocationally works. So I request to IHC to see me anything about works. I think to live whom the people with an intellectual disability are really hard. The most importance things of his whole lives are 'Vocational' and 'Education'. The first, I want to know how to got a commonsense, knowledge and skill to work almost. The second, how to got a job and to work with regular person.  

In Apex Industery, I learned about to make some furniture. But it's very hard working to make. They are working only sanding a surface. In North Harbour Enterprises, it's very easy to works. But its not for money, their worked for only spend times. They didn't had desire to got a money. In Kingswood Center, They are hard to live without help. In AUT Certificate Rongo I Te Ora, they can do everything, if their learn more to make mind. But they don't want to learn. Because it's a disability not a illness. I think their are didn't know happy or unhappy. They never talk a lie like an angel. Now, we don't know how to teach them, how to control his minds. I try to make peacefully heart of myself to live with them.

Community worker are always living with weak person as disability, disorder, children, illness and old man. Sometimes troublesome to care of them. But we never forget we are not only one, toward tomorrow and next. I have my family, so they has a their family too. We must share the wide and deep love to them. There is no reason to love weak person. I had only eight days practicum with them. Shortly, but I feels many things about them and to myself. Now my mind is still leave in there. I always wish to be a good health, better conditions, more honestly heart. I'll try to my rest life of my best to help their bright life. To help each other's and weak person are joy of my living.

I have a good practical experience. To make a chance for me, thank for AUT tutors and NZ community. At last, I really thank for the God.... I can work, I can do everything, I can eat myself, I can to breath, I can love and now I live with my family.
